The Crisis Line

provides a 24-hour, seven days a week, telephone service with trained volunteers available to provide support, a listening ear, assisting the caller to fully explore their feelings and concerns, explore options, alternatives and referrals to and information on available community resources.

The Host Program

provides a way to help newcomers adapt to the community and learn more about Canadian culture and traditions by matching local volunteers with individuals and families. The time and friendship of a caring volunteer can ease the frustration and loneliness that newcomers often experience in adjusting to their new life in Canada.  Interested individuals of all ages can volunteer in the program, including families, service clubs, church and community groups.

Community Information & Volunteer Centre

publishes the annual Directory of Community Services.  Volunteers offer support services to telephone and walk-in inquiries, providing information on and referrals to community resources.  As a leader in the development and promotion of volunteerism in our community, we have leadership positions on our Advisory Council and training positions through our Overview of Volunteer Management course and Leadership Development Program.  You can view all of our positions by clicking here.
